The best places to see great exhibition stand designs this summer!

Like most of the UK here at Astro exhibitions HQ we got very excited yesterday after seeing a glowing yellow orb in the sky in mid-March. Early reports suggest it was the sun but I am still cynical. By the by, it got me thinking about the fast approaching summer and its upcoming exhibition, trade shows and events.
Whether you are exhibiting or part of the visiting public, below is my definitive list of the best trade shows to see great exhibition stands around Europe this summer. We will be designing and installing exhibition stands for many of these shows and hope to be attending others. Who said summer was quiet in the exhibition and trade show industry?
June 07 – 10th 2016: I-GAMING, Amsterdam RAI
For those of you who like a bet every now and again you need to check out IGAMING 2016. You won’t be taking a gamble if you decide to exhibit at Europe’s biggest dedicated IGAMING trade show, showcasing products and services from the words leading online casino, gambling and Igaming companies. The show boasts over 4000 visitors from over 80 countries and 2016 promises to be another great year for this up and coming show.
June 07 – 09th 2016: INFOSEC International, London, Olympia
As far as the information security industry goes there is only one show to attend this summer and that is INFOSEC 2016. It’s massive. And when we say massive, we mean massive. INFOSEC 2015 attracted over 15’000 visitors making it officially Europe’s largest information and online security show. The Infosecurity group who run and organise the event also publish Europe’s leading industry magazine meaning INFOSEC 2016 is run by the experts for the experts. The show prides itself on offering the best possible networking platform and can boast that 15% of its visitors last year were from their company’s senior board and 13% were company directors. June 21 – 23rd 2016: IFSEC, London, Excel
Continuing a theme up next we have IFSEC 2016. As Europe’s largest international fire and home security show it is one not to be missed. Visitors are split almost down the middle last year, 49% of visitors represented end users with the remaining 51% attending form the trade. Don’t be fooled by the name however, IFSEC features companies and products from varied technological backgrounds. Are you a marketing executive wanting to track the movements of your customers around your shop? Or a CFO who would like to ensure the long term sustainability of your company? IFSEC features products that can help, ensuring that is not just a security industry exhibition.
June 21 – 23rd 2016: FIREX, London, Excel
By registering to attend IFSEC you will have also got yourself a free pass into FIREX 2016. FIREX is the only show in Europe to connect both the fire prevention and detection industry with the security market. Whether you work in Fire prevention or security this show is a must visit. Showcasing all the latest products and technical innovations in this incredibly important industry FIREX promises again to be a major success this year.
June 28 – 30th 2016: CIH Show (Chartered institute of housing), Manchester, Central
By attending CIH 2016 you will be able to put yourself at the heart of the debate in what will be a huge year for housing. 191 of the UK’s top 250 housing associations attended last year which represented a growth of 14% on the shows attendance the year before. The show features an industry conference and exhibition and promises to bring the sector together to “take stock and re-energise” and to “explore the political and policy environment, the economic outlook and the latest thinking across the sector”.
July 11 – 17th 2016: Farnborough International Airshow, Farnborough
Fighter jets, Helicopters, Aerobatic displays and one of the biggest exhibitions showcasing the latest technological advancements in the aeronautical and defence industry. Need I say more? Whether you are in the industry or just looking for a fantastic family day out look no further than Farnborough international Airshow. This biennial show broke all previous records in 2014 with a total of £144bn worth of business being agreed during the show. In addition a record number of exhibitors re-booked their space for 2016 promising that this year will be even bigger and better!
Aug 17 – 21st 2016: Gamescom, Cologne, Koelnmesse
There are few bigger or more exciting and technologically advanced industries than gaming. With the popularity of Gaming shows and exhibitions growing and growing Gamescom 2016 can boast to be the biggest in Europe and it is certainly not to be missed. In 2015 Gamescom attracted a whopping 345’000 visitors and the world’s biggest media outlets. Gamescom truly is a global event with the industry’s biggest players launching new games and products including Microsoft, Blizzard and 2k. Whether you are a hard core gamer or just want to soak in the atmosphere and marvel at the award winning Exhibition stand designs you can guarantee a great day out at Gamescom.
Aug 31st – Sep 03rd 2016: Euro bike Friedrichshaffen, Messe Friedrichshaffen
As the summer draws to a close Euro Bike 2016 takes place in Friedrichshaffen Germany. A joint trade and public show Euro Bike is officially the biggest show in cycling and its related markets. At Euro bike you will be able to find everything from the latest in cycling technology to holiday companies offering cycling holidays and more as well as a fashion show! Again, Euro Bike promises to be not only a great trade show but a great family day out.
Well, that wraps it up. As you can see there is a lot to be excited about this summer.
